About me

I'm Ash Narovich, a licensed massage therapist based in Portland, focused on myofascial release and structural, fascia-informed bodywork rather than traditional massage. My approach is slow, deliberate, and rooted in listening — to the tissue, and to what you tell me about your body.

My foundation is a 1,200-hour Holistic Health Practitioner program at Healing Mountain Massage School, including cadaver dissection lab work, and covering advanced therapeutic massage, Chinese Medicine, nutrition, and healing, with 20 hours specifically in myofascial release. From there, my training centers on a year-long, full-time apprenticeship under a practitioner trained in the John Barnes Myofascial Release approach, along with attending a John Barnes seminar directly. I've also completed Structural Integration training through the Ten Series — a 44-hour certificate at Healing Mountain Massage, plus additional Eleven Series work with an independent structural integration instructor, and ongoing self-study of Tom Myers' Anatomy Trains work on fascial anatomy.

Rather than working symptom by symptom, I look at the whole system: how tension in one area often shows up as pain somewhere else entirely. Sessions are unhurried by design, because fascia doesn't release under pressure.

I come to you — bringing the table, linens, and everything needed to create a calm, focused space wherever you are.
